The project supports unpaid carers, such as family and friends, by guiding them through their care journey. Research and co-design highlighted the importance of early recognition and support to ensure a smoother experience.
The design includes touchpoints to help individuals self identify as a carer, a discreet digital map for connecting with other unpaid carers and phygital conversation prompts to navigate challenging discussions. These tools encourage early social interaction, shared advice and mutual support through real-life experiences. By creating a sense of community, the project aims to ease the care journey, limit feelings of isolation and to access the guidance they need at any stage.
